Hoover to Head Coppin State Staff in Hagerstown
Curtis Hoover recently joined the staff of Coppin State University (CSU) at Hagerstown. In the role of campus director, Curtis will oversee student activities including recruitment, career services, advising and retention. He notes, “I look forward to growing both the program and the position in Hagerstown. It’s exciting to know the success will be a result of the energy I put into it, and the connections I make.” Curtis joins Carolyn Eberly and Mona Calhoun as CSU @ USMH staff.
A Hagerstown native, Curtis welcomed the opportunity to move back to his hometown. Most recently at American University, Curtis has traveled and worked around the globe. He has been a staff member on the “Semester at Sea” program, spending a semester with 700 students exploring different countries. He also worked for the NUin Greece study abroad program through Northeastern University where he served as the site director in Thessaloniki, Greece. Curtis continues to work on his Ph.D. in education remotely at the University of Tampere in Finland.
