USMH celebrates scholarship funds virtually at Feaste at Yuletide
(Hagerstown, Md.) -- The University System of Maryland at Hagerstown (USMH) hosted their annual Feaste at Yuletide virtually to celebrate raising funds for scholarships with help from generous sponsors.
Executive Director Mark Halsey, announced that local businesses, individuals and foundations collectively donated nearly $45,000. These funds will cover about half of the scholarships for the 2021-2022 school year for 25 students. The other half comes from endowments.
The virtual event featured several special guests, including Maryland governor, Larry Hogan, the University System of Maryland (USM) chancellor, Dr. Jay Perman, USM regent, Jim Holzapfel, and local business owner, Blackie Bowen.
