Psychology majors will earn a general B.S. degree in Psychology. Students will have the opportunity to take classes from several core areas in psychology (Biological Bases, Learning and Cognition, Diverse Populations, Applied), in addition to courses in Research Methods and Career Planning. Psychological research investigates practical issues that concern most people as well as theoretical ideas that challenge our critical thinking. Contemporary psychology provides students with a thriving major where accumulated knowledge about the science of human behavior is applied to practical problems and questions.
