Art Reception Recognizes Local High School Students

HAGERSTOWN – More than 120 community members gathered at the University System of Maryland at Hagerstown’s (USMH) Hospitality Center on February 29 to view over 100 artwork pieces on display from Washington County High School public and private students.

During the reception, students whose artwork placed within the top three of their category were recognized with ribbons

Student pieces were adjudicated by retired WCPS art teachers, Kandyce Douglas, Doris Hoopengardner, and Don Viar, and the top three in each category as well as best in show were recognized at the reception and received ribbons.
