Financial aid is available to eligible students through each of the participating universities. If you are seeking financial aid, you must apply through the institution to which you are accepted.
University System of Maryland at Hagerstown Scholarships
The USMH Scholarship
Awards for the 2020-2021 academic year consist of scholarships for students who are rising juniors or beyond and who are working toward a bachelor’s or graduate degree at USMH. Requirements include: A GPA of a B or better, junior status or 64 credits completed, a complete and timely application including all points listed below. Awards may be renewed twice. The awards may be used for tuition, fees, books or supplies and will be paid to the registrar of the USMH institution the awardee attends. Kelly Regents Scholarship
The Regents Scholars Program is the most prestigious scholarship awarded in the University System of Maryland. The scholarship awards cover the entire cost of in-state tuition, mandatory fees, on-campus room and board as well as providing a stipend to defray other academic expenses. Regents scholars are selected on the basis of demonstrated academic ability as well as strong motivation, exceptional character and a record of extracurricular accomplishments. The Kelly Regents Scholarship for USMH may be awarded to a Maryland community college transfer student who has completed a minimum of 56 credits with a 3.8 or higher GPA, has demonstrated financial need, and has decided to pursue a full-time bachelor's degree through USMH.
Funds are available through the federal government through grants, low-interest loans and work study. To apply for these programs, you must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid Form (FAFSA). You can complete the form online at www.fafsa.ed.gov. You will need to list the school to which you have been accepted and the following Title IV code:

State of Maryland Programs
Scholarship/grant money is available through the State of Maryland. Funds are both merit- and need-based. To apply, you must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid Form. You can complete the form online at www.fafsa.ed.gov. Out-of-state residents can apply for tuition assistance to reduce tuition from out-of-state rates to in-state rates.
