New tech degree launches at USMH for local students

Students in western Maryland will soon have a new path to tech careers without leaving their community.

A new Bachelor of Science in Applied Computer Science is scheduled to launch at the University System of Maryland at Hagerstown in fall 2026, according to a community announcement. The program, offered by Frostburg State University, will focus on areas like artificial intelligence, data science, cybersecurity and software development.
