Dr. Kris McGee, an associate professor at Frostburg State University’s Hagerstown Campus and the coordinator of the Master of Arts in Teaching – Elementary Program (MAT-E), hosted author John Schu on Wednesday, November 30th, 2022, at The University System of Maryland at Hagerstown’s (USMH) campus.   

The University System of Maryland at Hagerstown (USMH) held its annual Elizabethtowne Feaste and Frolic gala on Friday, December 2. The event was held at USMH’s Hospitality Center on West Washington Street which houses the University of Maryland at Eastern Shore’s Hospitality & Tourism Management bachelor’s program.

The University System of Maryland at Hagerstown (USMH) will host its annual scholarship fundraiser, Feaste and Frolic, on Friday, December 2nd at USMH Hospitality Center in downtown Hagerstown. 

Here are the courses offered for University of Maryland Global Campus (UMGC) at our campus in Hagerstown at USMH.

As public health conditions on campus and throughout the region have continued to improve over the past few weeks, University System of Maryland Hagerstown is changing current campus requirements for mask usage. Along with the state of Maryland, Washington and Frederick Counties have remained at “low” transmission rates and we have not seen an increased number of cases on campus.

Masks will be optional at USMH as of 8:00 a.m. on Tuesday August 16, 2022. Anyone who feels more comfortable and chooses to continue wearing a mask may do so.

Dr. Lawrence Weill has been named as the Interim Executive Director of USMH beginning on Wednesday, August 10.

Dr. Weill has held several faculty and administrative positions and has been in higher education for more than 40 years. Most recently he was the Interim VP for Academic and Student Affairs at State University of New York – Sullivan. From 2002 until 2010 he was the President of Gordon State College in Barnesville, GA. Dr. Weill brings a wealth of experience working across several higher education institutions and has an extensive record of community service.
