Social Work (M.S.W.)

The Salisbury University Master of Social Work Program (M.S.W.) prepares professional social workers to engage in community-based direct practice with individuals, families, and groups. The mission of our program is to educate ethical, competent practitioners who can work with a high degree of autonomy and skill.

Master of Arts in Teaching - Elementary (MAT)

This program is designed to provide qualified individuals with a master’s degree and initial certification in the area of Elementary Education by providing study of the knowledge, skills, and dispositions necessary for effective teachers.

This program contains extensive field work in Professional Development School settings and anticipates the full-time enrollment of the candidate. This program presumes a particular sequence of certain research-based courses.

Nicole Chew - Psychology

My time at USMH has been some of the best of my academic career!  The small class sizes let you actually get to know your professors and peers.  I've been able to thrive in this environment, and I can't say enough good things about this program.  I've been able to achieve every academic goal I've set for myself because of USMH. 

Early Childhood/Elementary Education

The Educational Professions Department offers an Early Childhood/Elementary Education major leading to eligibility for certification in nursery school though grade 6 and middle school.

Candidates must complete the 24 hours of early childhood specialization. Candidates cannot minor in education. All candidates must complete an application for each phase of the program.

Nursing (B.S.)

Part of the College of Health Professions, the Department of Nursing offers an accredited program leading to a bachelor of science degree with a major in nursing. The curriculum plan includes courses in the liberal arts, sciences, and nursing.

Upon completion, graduates are eligible to take the NCLEX-RN for licensure in Maryland or other states.
